Terms of Service

1. Service description

Leanify (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a calorie and macronutrient tracking tool operated by Tri Nguyen, based in San Antonio, TX, United States, available at leanify-liard.vercel.app. It helps you calculate calorie and macro targets and log your food intake.

2. “As is” disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates it produces are accurate for your specific circumstances.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the app. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly permit use by anyone under 18; see our Privacy Policy §11.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the app’s infrastructure or security
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse the app or the third-party food databases it queries (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts) beyond normal use
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

5. Content ownership

You own the food logs, custom foods, recipes, and notes you create in the app. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content back to you as part of operating the app. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose beyond providing the app’s functionality, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. No warranty

We make no warranty that the app’s calorie, macronutrient, or other estimates are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular health goal or medical condition. Food database entries (including third-party data from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, used under the Open Database License) may contain errors or omissions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tri Nguyen and Leanify will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the app is limited to the amount you paid to use the app in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, as the app is free, is zero).

8. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings → Data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, engage in abuse, or if we discontinue the app. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before termination on our part.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

10. Dispute handling

If a dispute arises, please contact us first at tringuyen7379@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas.
